GEMINI NATIONAL 727-200 1/400 REG#N4732 (**)
GEMINI NATIONAL 727-200 1/400 REG#N4732 (**)
Product Description
GeminiJets 1/400 scale National Airlines Boeing 727-200 diecast model is As Real as it Gets™ and measures approximately 4-9/16-inches long with a 3-1/4-inch wingspan. Manufactured by GeminiJets as a limited edition, highly collectible model, this National Airlines Boeing 727-200 - Registration N4732 - has been meticulously recreated from Boeing's blueprints and features realistic landing gear and detailed graphics, assuring the utmost accuracy and superior quality. A Display Stand is not included and is sold separately - Gemini GJSTD777. The original Boeing 727-200 flew in February 1963 and was launched by Eastern Airlines. Initially designed to compete with Britain's Trident and France's Caravelle, the 727 was Boeing's first short to medium range jetliner. During the late 1960's Boeing stretched the 727-100 by 20-feet and designated it as the Boeing 727-200. During the 1970's, Boeing added improvements to the 727-200, which included more powerful engines, giving the 727 expanded capabilities. This version was called the Boeing 727-200 Advanced. The Boeing 727 was discontinued in 1984 with 1831 units having been manufactured. The 727 was the most popular jet airliner until the Boeing 737 eventually eclipsed its production numbers. Despite being out of production for many decades, many 727's are still flying today, including versions that have been re-engined with new powerplants, enabling them to fly for years to come.
